Who we are
SolaTek has been established in 2006 and is today a joint venture of a small group of entrepreneurs from the plumbing & electrician industry, engineering, marketing strategies and business economy. SolaTek is serving Cape Town and its suburbs, Helderberg & Boland Area, West Coast and Overberg since then.
SolaTek is focusing on the use of renewable energy resources and is specialized in system designs for heating up water and electric back-up (Solar Photovoltaic, Solar Water Heating, Heat Pumps and swimming pools), offering energy consultations & assessments, sales and complete system installations for homes and businesses.
From site analysis to final inspection, we handle all the details to get solar systems up and running. We are working in close cooperation with architects, engineers from the construction industry, electricians and building companies. SolaTek has all necessary qualifications and has enough expertise with regards to do any solar or heat pump installation in a professional manner and according to SABS and SANS regulations.
Kerstin Winzer
B.Com degree in business economic & accounting. Owner of SolaTek and has started as entrepreneur already in 2003.
She handles customer queries, administration, marketing and social networks.
Richard Winzer
Manages day to day operations, managing active projects and staff. Richard is responsible for the procurement of hardware for all active projects.
He also does Site Inspections and is in communication with Sites managers to drive projects to completion.
Richard is SolaTek’s resident Solar Specialist, manages everything from the Design of the different solutions, quote preparations to final Installation of PV/Backup systems.
Gerd Winzer
With 20 years of corporate experience, Gerd has joined to family business to take SolaTek to new heights in the field of renewable energy suppliers. Certified in Business Management and experienced in Customer Relations and Service, Gerd takes care of our clients and assist in business operations.
